NMC proposes changes to the National Medical Register

In the recent Draft Registration of Medical Practitioners and License to Practice Medicine (Amendment), Regulations 2026,  the Apex Medical Commission has proposed to include other information, including the active or inactive status of the doctor’s license to practice medicine and the details of disciplinary action taken against the doctor (if any) in the NMR. The Commission has invited objections and suggestions from stakeholders within 30 days of the Gazette notification.
