FDA withdraws pharma licence cancellation after High Court raps it for going 'overboard'

Maharashtra’s FDAcancellation of a pharma company’s wholesale distribution licence due to irregularities related to packaging, storage and recall of Schedule H drug was withdrawn. The Bombay High Court withdrew a pharma firm’s licence cancellation, ruling it unfair and against “principles of natural justice” since the company was summoned on a public holiday and its licence was cancelled when no representative appeared. The Court shall pass an order upon the FDA issuing a fresh show-cause notice to the Company.
